OptiProGRessAI" project funding for the development of a hydrogen burner for melting furnaces in the aluminum die casting sector.

Förderung durch die Bundesregierung

The main aim of this joint project is to develop a hydrogen burner for melting furnaces in the field of aluminum die casting and to work out methods and refining processes for the targeted modification of the properties of recycled aluminum casting alloys. Other objectives are also being pursued, such as the further industrialization of the use of secondary alloys and processes for modifying the properties of recycled aluminum alloys or scrap, or improved process control in aluminum die casting to reduce scrap. Funding by the German government

With the hydrogen-fueled furnace we are taking a further major step toward climate-friendly industrial production. In addition to developing the new hydrogen furnace, however, all other energy consumption is to be optimized with the aid of artificial intelligence.

The project partners are the Technical University of Braunschweig (Institute for Joining and Welding Technology (ifs)), Soltauer Gießerei G.A.Röders, BOHAI TRIMET Automotive Holding GmbH, Chem-Trend (Deutschland) GmbH and NetCo Professional Services GmbH. We are very much looking forward to a successful cooperation.
